The Madge McDaniel Award, named in honor of the first elected President of the West Virginia Reading Association, is presented to an outstanding educator/administrator in the field of reading literacy.  This may include, but is not limited to, principals, teacher educators or other higher education personnel, supervisors, directors, superintendents, reading specialists, and staff development coordinators.

Instructions For Completing Application:
 

1. Information should be typed
2. No books, scrapbooks, or videos are to be submitted.
3. ALL information required in the guidelines must be submitted.
4. The original and four copies of the application are to be mailed to the following:

5. One recent 3x5 photograph suitable for scanning and publication must accompany the original application.
6. Please do not send the completed form by registered mail.  This requires an extra trip to the post office and can be problematic for the committee chair.
